About the position

The Central Service Tech Lead at Southcoast Health is responsible for overseeing the Central Processing Department, ensuring efficient operations and high-quality service. This role involves performing duties of a Certified Central Service Technician, managing inventory, and leading training programs for staff. The position requires collaboration with management to enhance departmental processes and staff development.

Responsibilities

  • Perform a variety of duties within the Central Processing Department under general supervision.
  • Execute all responsibilities of the Certified Central Service Technician.
  • Manage inventory and oversee equipment repair.
  • Serve as a resource to technical staff.
  • Collaborate with the Manager and Team Leader to identify educational needs and develop training programs.
  • Lead training of staff and assist with departmental process planning and control.

Requirements

  • Completion of high school plus additional courses or training.
  • Successful completion of Central Service training course with Certification in Central Services Technology (CRCST) required.
  • Over three (3) years of experience in Central Service required.
  • Prior hospital experience preferred.
  • Computer skills are required.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving and critical decision-making skills are required.

Nice-to-haves
