About the position

The Scheduler/Central Supply Clerk position at Consulate Health Care is a full-time role focused on supporting the staffing needs of a healthcare facility. This position involves collaborating with healthcare leaders to evaluate daily staffing requirements and create nurse assignments, while also managing supply and equipment needs to ensure high-quality resident care. The ideal candidate will be team-oriented and dedicated to fostering a positive facility culture.

Responsibilities

  • Forecasting staffing needs
  • Organizing daily nursing schedules
  • Overseeing patient census numbers and ensuring safe patient ratios
  • Responding to staff sick or late calls and making adjustments to the schedule as needed
  • Providing supplies and equipment in an efficient manner, in accordance with current applicable federal, state, and local standards, guidelines and regulations
  • Caring for the personal needs, safety, and comfort of residents
  • Assisting residents with activities of daily living including wardrobe, personal hygiene, and mobility
  • Assisting in developing methods for determining quantity of supplies and equipment required
  • Making written and oral reports/recommendations to the purchasing agent concerning procurement procedures as directed
  • Ensuring various departments are properly charged with supplies they have received for cost allocation purposes
  • Delivering emergency supplies and equipment as directed
  • Providing innovative, responsible healthcare with the creation and implementation of new ideas and concepts that continually improve systems and processes to achieve superior results.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED
  • Must be 18 years of age
  • Completion of a state-approved CNA certified nursing assistant certification course
  • OnShift Experience
  • Ability to read and communicate at an adequate level to essential job duties
  • Ability to treat and care for seniors and their property with dignity and respect
  • Ability to communicate with clients in a friendly and congenial manner
