About the position

The Centralized Scheduling Planner is responsible for creating and managing employee schedules for various departments to ensure adequate coverage based on anticipated business demands. This role involves collaboration with department managers and the FP&A analytics team to analyze staffing needs and adjust schedules accordingly, while maintaining compliance with scheduling policies.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with assigned departments' managers and FP&A analytics team to determine anticipated business volumes.
  • Observe department activities to understand staffing needs and opportunities.
  • Create schedules based on business operations needs, adjusting staffing levels for special events and large reservations.
  • Maintain compliance with scheduling policies, including those for collective bargaining agreements.
  • Analyze staffing data and make recommendations to the Centralized Scheduling Supervisor and FP&A management.
  • Track assigned department productivity daily and approve/correct times.
  • Monitor daily departmental time reports and adjust job/department codes as necessary.
  • Handle call-ins, PTO, LOA, Attendance, Payroll, FMLA, and other administrative support duties.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support the efficient operation of the department.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Minimum three (3) years prior related experience in staff planning or operational experience in hospitality, food & beverage, gaming, or casino operations.
  • Strong understanding of mathematics and statistical analysis.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs, particularly Access, Excel, and Word.
  • Prior experience with scheduling software such as Virtual Roster preferred.
  • Possess interpersonal skills to deal effectively with all business contacts.
  • Experience demonstrating discretion and confidentiality with sensitive information.

  • Experience in casino operations or gaming industry.
