About the position

The Certification Accounting Clerk at Intertek is responsible for managing billing and invoicing activities within the Certification Department. This role involves maintaining customer fee files, processing invoices, and providing customer support related to fees and invoicing. The position requires strong communication skills and the ability to work independently while ensuring timely and accurate completion of tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure proper billing/invoicing for clients
  • Receive requests/inquiries from internal and external clientele and process as required
  • Provide customer support/service, i.e., respond to customer inquiries and resolve customer complaints/issues
  • Process purchase orders, invoices, credits, and accounts receivable
  • Respond to client inquiries regarding fees and invoices
  • Coordinate fee processing and general fee processing
  • Provide customer support to all stakeholders
  • Plan, implement, coordinate, monitor, and evaluate ongoing invoicing tasks
  • Perform other tasks as needed/required

Requirements

  • High School Diploma, or equivalent
  • Microsoft Office proficiency, including Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment with shifting priorities
  • Must be detail-oriented and able to effectively prioritize and organize workload, with efficient time management
  • Must have excellent interpersonal skills
  • Ability to communicate and interact effectively in verbal and written formats
  • Must possess the fundamental technical and administrative skills required to perform the job duties

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor's degree in business, accounting or finance
  • 4+ years Billing/Accounting experience
