About the position
The Certified Anesthesiologist Assistant or Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist will join the Anesthesia Care Team at Ball Memorial Hospital, providing anesthesia services in a supportive environment. This full-time position offers flexible scheduling with no call required, and involves clinical teaching and participation in various surgical procedures across multiple specialties.
Responsibilities
- Provide anesthesia care in collaboration with anesthesiologists and anesthetists.
- Participate in clinical teaching for SAAs and SRNAs during their elective rotations.
- Administer anesthesia for a variety of procedures including orthopedics, ENT, pediatrics, GYN, neuro, general surgery, urology, plastics, reconstructive, and vascular surgeries.
- Engage in the growth and development of the anesthetist profession within the institution.
Requirements
- Current ACLS and PALS certifications are required.
- For CAA: Must have graduated from a CAAHEP accredited Anesthesiologist Assistant Program and passed the Certifying Examination for Anesthesiologist Assistants.
- For CRNA: Must have graduated from a Master's level Nurse Anesthesia program accredited by the COA and passed the National Certification Examination.
