About the position

We are seeking a Certified Cloud Azure Engineer to join our team in Washington DC for a contract position lasting 6 months. This role is hybrid, requiring the candidate to be on-site at our DC offices once every two weeks. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cloud engineering, specifically with Microsoft Azure, and will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing cloud solutions that meet the needs of our organization. The engineer will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that cloud services are integrated effectively and efficiently into our existing infrastructure. Additionally, the engineer will be tasked with troubleshooting and resolving any issues that arise within the cloud environment, ensuring optimal performance and security of our cloud resources. The Certified Cloud Azure Engineer will also be responsible for staying up-to-date with the latest cloud technologies and best practices, providing recommendations for improvements and enhancements to our cloud architecture. This position requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Strong communication skills are essential, as the engineer will need to collaborate with various stakeholders to understand their requirements and translate them into technical solutions. The successful candidate will have a passion for cloud technology and a commitment to delivering high-quality results in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and manage cloud solutions on Microsoft Azure.

Requirements

  • Certified Azure Engineer with relevant certifications.
  • Proven experience in cloud engineering and architecture.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Azure services and tools.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with other cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud).
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools.
  • Knowledge of containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Experience with scripting languages (PowerShell, Python).
