About the position

We are seeking a detail-oriented Revenue Cycle Analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate will be a certified coder and have a strong background in surgery center operations, revenue cycle management, and/or coding auditing. In this position, you will participate in a multi-facility Ambulatory Surgery Center environment and work to gather and process large amounts of data, analyze it, and present options and solutions to support both the revenue cycle management team and the financial management team. The Revenue Cycle Analyst assists the specified department with business and/or operational real-time reporting support, analyzes and develops reports to support the business needs for various clinical, billing, and operational areas. Responsibilities include performing regular revenue cycle audits to ensure billing and payer contract compliance; the development and analysis of requested reports from leadership; testing and ensuring the integrity of the data; providing analytical assistance for troubleshooting revenue cycle and accounts receivable issues; and assisting with day-to-day business functions as needed. This role will be flexible with assisting with last-minute and special projects as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Perform regular revenue cycle audits to ensure billing and payer contract compliance.
  • Develop and analyze requested reports from leadership.
  • Test and ensure the integrity of the data.
  • Provide analytical assistance for troubleshooting revenue cycle and A/R issues.
  • Assist with day-to-day business functions as needed.
  • Participate in a multi-facility Ambulatory Surgery Center environment.
  • Gather and process large amounts of data, analyze it, and present options and solutions.

Requirements

  • Must be a Certified Coder/Auditor.
  • 3 years Healthcare Revenue Cycle/Medical Business Office experience REQUIRED.
  • Ambulatory Surgery Center experience strongly preferred.
  • Knowledge of accounting, medical business office functions, and complete revenue cycle workflow process.
  • Familiarity with commercial insurance contracts, government payors, payment methodologies, and facility billing.
