About the position

The Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinics Research & Data Analyst (Research Analyst 3) position at the Oregon Health Authority involves establishing data infrastructure for various care initiatives, collaborating with committees and partners, conducting research studies, and developing evaluation frameworks. The role is crucial in promoting data-driven decision-making within the Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinics program, supporting program decision-making and strategic planning efforts, and executing intricate research projects and extensive analyses.

Responsibilities

  • Establish data infrastructure for various care initiatives.
  • Collaborate with committees and partners to promote data-driven decision making.
  • Conduct research studies and develop evaluation frameworks.
  • Create data collection tools and analyze data.
  • Support CCBHC program decision-making and strategic planning efforts.
  • Execute intricate research projects and extensive analyses.
  • Calculate and report monitoring measures for CCBHC program outcomes.
  • Organize complex claims data into comprehensible components.
  • Create and implement data collection tools such as complex surveys.
  • Provide research and complex data solutions to diverse data clients.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in any discipline with six-quarter units in statistics or quantitative analysis methods and one year of experience using computerized applications to gather, compile, and analyze data.
  • Four years of research experience using computerized applications to gather, compile, and analyze data.
  • Experience in using trends such as social, economic, or industrial for analytical research.
  • Experience using advanced statistical or quantitative analysis computer applications.
  • College-level coursework in advanced statistics or quantitative analysis.

Nice-to-haves

  • Two years of experience with statistical software and programming languages, such as SAS and SQL.
  • Experience with data management and statistical analyses.
  • Experience with health outcomes research and healthcare delivery systems research.
  • Knowledge of data visualization tools such as Power BI, SharePoint BI, and/or Tableau.
  • Experience producing written reports, executive summaries, and fact sheets.
  • Experience visualizing data and implementing self-service analytic dashboards.
  • Preference for experience working with healthcare administrative claims, especially Medicaid data.
  • Experience with Medicaid programs and behavioral health treatment services.
  • Experience collecting and analyzing granular data on race, ethnicity, language, disability, sexual orientation, and/or gender identity.
  • Experience in advancing health equity and addressing systemic health disparities.
