About the position
The Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) will play a crucial role in overseeing the Dietary Department at Ussery-Roan Texas State Veterans Home. This position involves planning, organizing, and directing the overall operations of the department to ensure high-quality nutritional services are provided to residents. The CDM will work closely with the Dietary Team to maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment while adhering to federal, state, and local standards.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Dietitian in planning and organizing the Dietary Department operations.
- Develop and direct the overall operation of the Dietary Department.
- Ensure quality nutritional services are provided daily.
- Maintain cleanliness and safety standards in the Dietary Department.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Graduate of an accredited course in dietetic training approved by the American Dietetic Association.
- Minimum of 2 years experience in a supervisory capacity in a hospital, skilled nursing care facility, or related medical facility.
- Training in cost control, food management, and diet therapy is required.
- Registered as a Food Service Director in the state.
