About the position

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Home Health Aide to provide essential support to individuals in their homes. This role is crucial in ensuring the comfort and well-being of our clients, particularly those requiring memory care and assistance with daily living activities.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with personal care tasks, including bathing, grooming, and dressing.
• Monitor and document patient observations to track health status and report any changes to healthcare professionals.
• Administer medications as prescribed, ensuring adherence to medication schedules.
• Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive environment.
• Assist with mobility and transfers, ensuring safety during movement.
• Help with household tasks such as meal preparation, light cleaning, and laundry as needed.
• Maintain accurate medical records and documentation of care provided.
• Support clients with catheter care and other specialized needs as required.

Requirements

• Previous experience in home care or assisted living settings is preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and ability to maintain accurate medical records.
• Strong patient observation skills to identify changes in client conditions.
• Familiarity with medication administration protocols.
• Compassionate demeanor with a genuine desire to help others.
• Ability to work independently while following established care plans.
• Certification as a Home Health Aide or similar qualification is a plus but not mandatory.
• Must be able to pass background checks as required by state regulations.
