About the position

The Certified Intentional Peer Support Specialist (CIPSS) plays a crucial role within Spurwink Mental Health Center's Interdisciplinary Treatment Team, providing direct support to program participants across various adult psychiatric services. This position focuses on engaging individuals in their recovery journey, fostering hope and fulfillment in their lives while maintaining necessary documentation and community relationships.

Responsibilities

  • Engage program participants through direct contact and support.
  • Coach participants towards developing satisfying, hopeful, and fulfilling lives as defined by the program participant.
  • Maintain records, EHR, and documentation as required by Spurwink or State Agencies.
  • Create and maintain working relationships with community health providers.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Certified Intentional Peer Support Specialist (CIPSS) certification required or must obtain within the first year of employment.
