About the position

The Maintenance Tech at Spring Haven Senior Living is responsible for the maintenance, cleanliness, and security of the facility. This role involves working closely with the Maintenance Supervisor to implement maintenance and repair programs, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the facility.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for cleaning and sanitizing according to established policies and procedures.
  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene in accordance with federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Advise and consult with the Director of Central Services on maintenance and repair needs.
  • Inspect all equipment and systems for compliance with local codes and safety regulations.
  • Respond to emergency calls within the facility as needed.
  • Sweep and clean parking lots and exterior walkways.
  • Maintain the lawn and exterior of the building, including fences and walkways.
  • Prepare units for move-ins and move-outs in a timely manner.
  • Handle work orders as directed by the Director of Central Services.
  • Run errands and manage incoming and outgoing freight.
  • Lift and move furniture and equipment as necessary.
  • Maintain and clean the pool and pool area along with all exterior furniture.
  • Participate in fire and safety programs and drills.
  • Know the location and operation of all fire and emergency equipment in the work area.
  • Attend all mandatory meetings and in-service training sessions.
  • Maintain a professional attitude and work cooperatively with residents and staff.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum of six months experience in a hospital, skilled nursing care facility, or related medical facility.
  • General knowledge of electrical, plumbing, painting, housekeeping, and related fields.
