About the position
The Certified Medical Assistant at Mountain Spine Care plays a crucial role in supporting healthcare providers by assisting with patient assessments, treatments, and administrative tasks. This full-time position requires a proactive approach to patient care and the ability to maintain a well-organized clinical environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist with performing patient assessments and treatments under the supervision of a provider.
- Perform basic diagnostic procedures and specimen collection.
- Monitor and communicate changes in patient condition.
- Document patient care given.
- Maintain examination areas and ensure cleanliness.
- Maintain equipment and medical supplies, including stocking, cleaning, and troubleshooting.
- Perform administrative or clerical duties such as filing, reception, scheduling, data entry, and patient registration.
- Complete other tasks as delegated by practice leads, supervisors, managers, or the Market Director.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
- Previous medical experience and knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
- Critical thinking skills and decisive judgment are required.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision and in a stressful environment.
- Certified Medical Assistant or Registered Medical Assistant required.
- AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of hire.
