About the position

The Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) position in Bloomingdale, Illinois, focuses on providing essential support to physicians during patient examinations and procedures in a podiatry setting. This full-time role involves a variety of clinical tasks, patient interaction, and administrative duties, ensuring a high standard of care and service to patients. The position requires flexibility to float to other clinics as needed and emphasizes a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion within the workplace.

Responsibilities

  • Greet patients and assist with registration, scheduling, measuring vital signs and collecting health history
  • Provide support to physicians during examinations, minor office surgeries, dressing changes and other first aid procedures
  • Assist with immunizations or injections
  • Assist patients with prescription requests, address pharmacy callbacks, provider orders, update charting and filing
  • Conduct onsite lab testing to include: EKG, pulmonary function, blood glucose and urine pregnancy tests
  • Maintain clean, warm and inviting examination rooms for patient visits
  • Provide excellent customer service exemplifying Duly Health and Care CARE values
  • Travel to assist other local clinics as required

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Completion of Medical Assistant educational program or higher education courses in health sciences or related experience required
  • Active medical assistant certification through AMT, NCCT, NHA, ARMA, or AAMA required for certain specialties
  • CPR certification or willingness to become certified upon hire required
  • May require phlebotomy certification to be completed within 90 days of hire
  • Prior experience working as an MA, CMA, CNA, EMT or 2 years of prior experience working in a medical office assisting with patient care
