About the position

As a medical assistant you will assist in the delivery of care for adult and pediatric patients. You will provide clinical support to providers by preparing patients for medical examinations and documenting key information into the EHR system. You will educate patients on prenatal and chronic disease management under provider direction and perform clinical tasks such as administering medications, diagnostic testing, and assisting with treatments under provider supervision. You will execute essential skills, including blood pressure readings, EKGs, lab tests, vision tests, and specimen collection. Ensuring timely patient care by rooming patients promptly and monitoring wait times is crucial. You will also maintain and sterilize equipment, monitor tracking systems, and adhere to OSHA and infection control policies. Additionally, you will schedule referrals, manage phone messages, and coordinate prescription calls under provider guidance. Contributing to a clean, safe work environment and traveling to other locations as required is also part of the role.

Requirements

  • Medical Assistant school diploma/certification
  • Minimum of 1 year clinical experience
  • BLS CPR Certification
