About the position
The Certified Medical Assistant will support addiction and behavioral health treatment clients in Pennsylvania, specifically within detox and medical units of a residential treatment center. The role focuses on implementing patient care and ensuring that the medical needs of patients are met effectively and compassionately.
Responsibilities
- Informing physicians on the changes in any patient conditions to ensure level of care is met
- Accurately monitoring and performing diagnostic tests ordered by physician
- Assess the individual patient care needs, reporting findings, etc.
- Preparing patients for examinations (vitals, labs, etc.) including drug screenings, urinalysis, chem sticks, etc.
- Assist in medical administration
- Attending all required trainings as indicated by the Director of Nursing
- Maintain quality documentation and control logs
Requirements
- Current Certification as a CMA
- 1-3 years of experience, preferably with ER, acute, or mental health care experience
- CPR/ First Aid Certification
