About the position

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Certified Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in patient care, particularly in geriatrics, and possess a comprehensive understanding of medical procedures and terminology. As a Certified Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting our medical staff and ensuring the highest level of care for our patients.

Responsibilities

• Assist healthcare providers during examinations and procedures.
• Perform routine clinical tasks such as taking vital signs, preparing patients for exams, and documenting medical histories.
• Administer medications and injections as directed by physicians.
• Conduct basic laboratory tests and assist with X-ray procedures when necessary.
• Maintain patient records with accuracy and confidentiality.
• Educate patients on health management, including anatomy knowledge and physiology fundamentals.
• Support emergency medicine protocols in a Level I Trauma Center environment.
• Collaborate with nursing staff in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) to provide comprehensive care to young patients.
• Ensure compliance with clinic policies, safety regulations, and infection control standards.

Requirements

• Certification as a Medical Assistant from an accredited program is required.
• Previous experience in a clinical setting, particularly with geriatrics or emergency medicine, is preferred.
• Familiarity with medical systems and procedures related to X-ray operations is advantageous.
• Strong knowledge of anatomy and physiology is essential for effective patient care.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team while maintaining professionalism at all times.
