As a Certified Medication Aide (CMA), you play a vital role in providing routine nursing care while ensuring the accurate and timely administration of medications. You will follow established policies and procedures, working under the guidance of our Charge Nurse, RN Supervisor, Director of Nurses, or Administrator. Your dedication and attention to detail are essential to maintain the highest standard of resident care. In this position, you will assist in the administration of medications to residents on your assigned unit, prepare residents for therapy, activities, physician visits, religious services, and other appointments, including transporting residents to and from these activities. You will also be responsible for accurately preparing and administering medications, ensuring they are given to the right patient, at the right time, in the correct dosage, and via the proper route. Additionally, you will assist residents with proper hygiene, including bathing, and encourage self-help measures and activities. Following infection control procedures as stipulated by our facility's policy, particularly when isolation techniques are necessary, is also a critical part of your role. You will maintain thorough and accurate documentation related to your responsibilities during every shift, present a professional image to our residents and their families through your attire, behavior, and communication, and adhere to our company's high standards for addressing and resolving consumer concerns. Upholding the rights of all residents to ensure their well-being and dignity is paramount in this position.
