About the position
The Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) position at The New Jewish Home is a part-time role focused on providing direct care to residents under the supervision of licensed nurses. The role emphasizes assisting residents in their daily activities to promote independence and enhance their quality of life. CNAs are expected to work every other weekend and cover various shifts, including day, evening, and night.
Responsibilities
- Perform direct resident/patient care under the supervision of a licensed nurse.
- Assist residents in attaining the highest possible level of functioning in all Activities of Daily Living (ADL).
- Maximize resident independence through supportive care.
Requirements
- Currently certified in NYS Commissioner of Health Nurse Aide Registry.
- High School diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
