About the position
The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) plays a crucial role in providing routine care to hospitalized patients under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN). This position involves assisting patients with daily living activities and ensuring their comfort and well-being during their hospital stay.
Responsibilities
- Assist patients with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, and eating.
- Monitor and record patient vital signs and report any changes to the supervising nurse.
- Help patients with mobility and transfers, ensuring their safety and comfort.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients.
- Support nursing staff with various tasks as needed.
Requirements
- High School Graduate or GED certificate holder.
- Completion of an approved nursing assistant course.
- Clinical experience in a certified nursing assistant program.
- Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS), to be maintained biannually.
