Additionally, CHANS Home Health & Hospice offers in-home nursing, rehabilitation, palliative, hospice, and private duty care. The Mid Coast Hospital Walk-In Clinic, located in beautiful downtown Brunswick, provides expert and urgent care for minor medical problems, along with on-site diagnostic services and integration with primary care. The position of Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)/Unit Secretary involves coordinating the flow of selected information within a patient care unit and between the unit and other departments of the hospital. This role is essential for ensuring efficient communication of patient needs and timely compliance with medical and nursing orders. The CNA/Unit Secretary acts as a central resource regarding the procedures used to obtain services for patients and is responsible for processing all physician's orders using computer order entry and MARs. This position also coordinates communications for nursing personnel, other departments, and members of the healthcare team. Additionally, the CNA/Unit Secretary assists in the administration of nursing care to designated patients under the direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse and Licensed Practical Nurse, performing a variety of direct and indirect care duties.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the flow of selected information within a patient care unit and between the unit and other departments.

Requirements

  • High School Graduate preferred.
  • BLS certification required.
  • Certified Nurses Assistant, State of Maine certification required.
  • Basic computer skills preferred.

  • Sign-on bonuses for Certified Nursing Assistants (CNA): $2,500 for 0-1 years of experience (full time) and $4,000 for 1+ years of experience (full time).
