Seattle Children's Hospital is excited to announce an interview day/hiring event specifically for Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs). This is a virtual interview day, scheduled for October 3rd, 2024, from 10:15 AM to 1:30 PM PST. To be considered for these positions, candidates must be available for interviews on this date and, if offered a position, must be ready to begin employment by late August 2024 or early September 2024. If candidates are unable to interview on the specified date or start within the required timeframe, they are encouraged to apply at a later time. The CNA application is typically posted in the first or second week of each month and remains available for approximately two to three weeks. Currently, there are various CNA openings available throughout the hospital, which may include departments such as Surgical, Medical, Cancer Care, Acute Care Float Pool, CBDC Ambulatory, Rehab, CICU, and PICU. The available schedules include part-time and per-diem positions, with shifts ranging from 8 to 12 hours. Specific options include Per Diem (0-24 hours per week), 0.6 FTE (48 hours per bi-weekly pay periods), 0.75 FTE (60 hours per bi-weekly pay periods), and 0.9 FTE (72 hours per bi-weekly pay periods). Shifts are available in Day (7:00 AM - 7:00 PM), Evening (3:00 PM - 11:00 PM), and Night (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM) formats. Most positions may require working occasional weekends. To be considered for the role, applicants must submit an online application along with an updated resume detailing their work history, education, an active NAC certification, and a completed Seattle Children's Employer Application. The hiring process involves a careful review of applications, after which a smaller group of candidates will be selected for interviews. Those selected will receive an email invitation to interview and must respond within 48 hours. If no response is received, the hospital will proceed with other candidates. All newly hired CNAs must possess an active NAC License upon starting work. If candidates are not selected for this interview group, they are welcome to apply for future CNA interviewing events. The CNA role at Seattle Children's involves providing care to patients under the direction of a Registered Nurse or Physician, utilizing their knowledge and skills to ensure appropriate interactions with staff, patients, and families of all ages.
