About the position

Aveanna Healthcare is seeking dedicated healthcare aides to provide personalized care to patients in a home setting. This role offers a flexible schedule and manageable 1:1 caseloads, allowing for meaningful interactions and growth opportunities with patients. The position involves performing essential medical care tasks, assisting with daily living activities, and ensuring comprehensive documentation of patient care.

Responsibilities

  • Perform, assist, evaluate and document medical care, such as basic first aid, taking weight and vital signs, catheter and bowel care, and range of motion exercises.
  • Prepare meals according to dietary and nutritional needs.
  • Care for patient's special conditions and needs within the scope of authorized tasks.
  • Help patients maintain good personal hygiene, including assistance with bathing, toileting, grooming, and dressing.
  • Thoroughly complete and coordinate all required documentation, maintaining necessary patient/family and company records upon conclusion of each visit.
  • Observe and report significant changes in the patient's condition to the RN Nursing Supervisor.
  • Provide hands-on personal care and perform simple procedures as an extension of therapy or nursing services.
  • Provide services ordered by the physician in the plan of care that the aide is permitted to perform under state law.

Requirements

  • High school graduate or GED.
  • Current, unrestricted certification or proof of training as required by the state.
  • Current CPR certification.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in clinical assessments, documentation, and compliance with aide care policies and procedures.
  • Valid Driver's License and acceptable MVR.
