About the position
The Health Center at Standifer Place is currently hiring Certified Nursing Assistants (CNA) for various shifts including 7am to 7pm, 7pm to 7am, and 11pm to 7am. The role involves providing direct and indirect resident care activities under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse. CNAs assist residents with daily living activities, provide personal care, and help maintain a safe and clean environment for an assigned group of residents. The position supports the mission of the center and requires a valid CNA license, with assistance available for transferring licenses from other states. The center offers same-day pay and online self-scheduling.
Responsibilities
- Provides direct and indirect resident care activities under the direction of a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse.
- Assists residents with daily living activities and personal care.
- Maintains a safe and clean environment for residents.
- Reports to charge nurse tasks not completed.
- Assists in the preparation for admission of residents.
- Provides morning and evening care, including hygiene and dressing.
- Takes and records vital signs and other health measurements.
- Participates in socialization activities and assists residents to activities.
- Ensures residents are clean, dry, and dressed properly.
- Checks unit for adequate linen and supplies.
- Answers residents' call lights and anticipates their needs.
- Maintains confidentiality of resident information.
Requirements
- Must have a valid CNA license.
- Ability to meet performance requirements.
- Must attend in-service programs as assigned.
- Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
- Pleasant and cheerful personality.
- Tactful and courteous approach with residents and visitors.
- Ability to read and write to meet charting requirements.
