About the position

The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) - Customer Service Representative (CSR) in Telemetry 2 is responsible for providing essential patient care and support services to ensure the comfort and well-being of patients. This role involves assisting with daily living activities, taking vital signs, and performing clerical tasks to support clinical staff, all while maintaining a compassionate and efficient environment for patients and their families.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare patient rooms and beds to ensure comfort during hospital stays.
  • Take and record vital signs including temperature, pulse, respiration, weight, height, and blood pressure as directed.
  • Assist patients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and feeding.
  • Transcribe physician orders accurately and complete necessary forms in a timely manner.
  • Maintain patient charts and ensure proper documentation is completed for transfers to Medical Records.
  • Answer patient call lights promptly and assist with personal hygiene and daily activities.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and therapeutic environment for patients.
  • Assist physicians with examinations and treatments as directed by nursing staff.
  • Transport patient specimens to the lab and run inter-departmental errands as needed.
  • Report any unusual incidents or changes in patient condition to appropriate personnel.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent as per certification requirements.
  • Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
