About the position

Bartlett Regional Hospital is seeking Certified Nursing Assistants (CNA I/II) to join their Float Pool team. Under the supervision of a licensed RN, CNAs will provide essential nursing care to patients and maintain a safe environment. The role requires proficiency in English for effective communication with a diverse patient population. CNAs may be assigned to specific units but will also float to other areas as needed, ensuring comprehensive patient support.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic nursing care to patients and/or residents under the supervision of a licensed RN.
• Support and maintain a safe and clean environment for patients and/or residents.
• Float to different units as needed to provide additional support.
• Complete non-invasive collection and testing of physical specimens.
• Perform basic nursing tasks such as glucose testing, suctioning, and catheter removal.

Requirements

• Completion of a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) program.
• Current State of Alaska Certified Nursing Assistant license.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 90 days of hire.
• Techniques for Effective Aggression Management (TEAM) training within 90 days of hire.
• Behavioral Emergency Response Team (BERT) training within 90 days of hire.
• CNA I: No prior experience required; must complete initial advanced skills training checklists within 6 months.
• CNA II: Must master entry-level CNA I skills and complete advanced skills training checklist within 6 months.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in a healthcare setting is preferred but not mandatory.
