About the position
The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) position at Liberty Senior Living is a per diem role focused on providing compassionate care to residents, particularly the elderly. The CNA will assist with daily living activities, maintain patient care records, and support the charge nurse in meeting resident needs.
Responsibilities
- Assist residents with bathing, dressing, personal hygiene, and all activities of daily living (ADLs) as needed during the shift.
- Assist with oral hygiene including denture care in the morning, after meals, at bedtime, and/or when needed.
- Complete patient care records at the end of the shift, including accurate intake and output (I and O) documentation.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Assist the charge nurse with resident needs and treatments as directed.
Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age or older and have a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Certified nursing assistant, listed in the DFS registry.
- Willingness to care for geriatric patients and a genuine concern for their welfare.
- Ability to receive, understand, and follow orders.
- Attendance at in-service training and other staff meetings as required.
