About the position

We have an exciting opportunity for a PRN or as-needed Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant to join our team at The Village at Orchard Ridge. In this position, you will work under the guidance of a licensed Occupational Therapist to provide rehabilitative services to our residents in Assisted Living, Assisted Living Memory Care, Long-Term care, Skilled Nursing, and Independent Living (Outpatient) neighborhoods. Your role will focus on helping residents improve their ability to perform daily activities through therapeutic interventions. You will be an integral part of our healthcare team, ensuring that our residents receive the highest quality of care and support in their daily activities. Your contributions will directly impact the quality of life for our residents, making this a rewarding position for those who are passionate about helping others.

Responsibilities

  • Provide rehabilitative services to residents under the guidance of a licensed Occupational Therapist.
  • Assist residents in improving their ability to perform daily activities through therapeutic interventions.
  • Document patient progress and maintain accurate records using healthcare software.
  • Collaborate with a diverse team to ensure high-quality care for residents.
  • Engage with residents and their families to provide support and education regarding therapy services.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree or higher from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
  • Current licensure or certification as an Occupational Therapy Assistant in the state of practice.
  • Previous experience in a senior living, long-term care, or rehabilitation setting is preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with a diverse team.
  • Compassionate and patient-centered approach, with a commitment to providing high-quality care.
  • Proficiency in using healthcare software for documentation and patient management.
