About the position

We have an exciting opportunity for a PRN or as-needed Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant to join our team at The Village at Orchard Ridge. In this position, you will work under the guidance of a licensed Occupational Therapist to provide rehabilitative services to our residents in Assisted Living, Assisted Living Memory Care, Long-Term care, Skilled Nursing, and Independent Living (Outpatient) neighborhoods. Your role will focus on helping residents improve their ability to perform daily activities through therapeutic interventions. You will be responsible for implementing treatment plans, documenting patient progress, and collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for our residents. This position requires a compassionate and patient-centered approach, as you will be working closely with individuals who may have varying levels of mobility and cognitive function. You will also be expected to maintain a high standard of care and adhere to all regulatory requirements and best practices in occupational therapy.

Responsibilities

  • Provide rehabilitative services to residents under the guidance of a licensed Occupational Therapist.
  • Implement treatment plans designed to improve residents' ability to perform daily activities.
  • Document patient progress and maintain accurate records using healthcare software.
  • Collaborate with a diverse team of healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for residents.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree or higher from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
  • Current licensure or certification as an Occupational Therapy Assistant in the state of practice.
  • Previous experience in a senior living, long-term care, or rehabilitation setting is preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with a diverse team.
  • Compassionate and patient-centered approach, with a commitment to providing high-quality care.
  • Proficiency in using healthcare software for documentation and patient management.
