Join our dynamic construction company as a Certified Payroll / Accounting Clerk, where you will play a crucial role in managing payroll processes and ensuring compliance with certified payroll regulations. This position is based in Pleasant Hill, conveniently located off the Civic Center exit on BART, and requires 100% on-site presence. You will be working from 7:30 am to 4:30 pm, contributing to a team that values accuracy and efficiency in payroll management. As a Payroll Specialist / Accounting Clerk, you will be responsible for processing payroll for our construction projects, ensuring that all employees are paid accurately and on time. Your expertise in certified payroll will be essential in maintaining compliance with federal and state regulations, particularly in relation to union payrolls. You will also have the opportunity to expand your skill set by learning accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) processes, making this a great opportunity for career growth. We are looking for candidates with a minimum of 5 years of certified payroll experience and proficiency in Excel. While prior construction experience is a must, we are willing to provide training on AP and AR responsibilities for the right candidate.
