About the position

We are looking for a skilled Certified Payroll Administrator to join our dynamic project team. This role is crucial for ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing for a large number of employees, particularly in the construction industry or a related field. The ideal candidate will have experience handling high-volume payroll and be familiar with Paylocity, although we are open to training the right candidate who demonstrates strong potential. In this position, you will collaborate closely with our Human Resources and Finance teams to manage payroll operations effectively, ensuring compliance with government regulations and internal policies. As a Certified Payroll Administrator, you will be responsible for processing in-house payroll, reviewing and balancing weekly pay runs, and ensuring that all payroll changes are accurately processed. You will set up new employees in the payroll system, calculate and process timecards, bonuses, employee changes, taxes, garnishments, and deductions. Maintaining time and attendance records is essential, as is auditing timecards for accuracy and correcting cost codes when necessary. You will also verify and approve timecards and time worked, communicate with department supervisors to resolve any missed time entries, and address employee inquiries regarding time off balances and discrepancies.
