We are seeking a Certified Payroll & Labor Compliance professional to join an established and innovative HVAC firm located in Martinez, CA. This firm has been in business for over 25 years, providing a stable work environment and opportunities for professional growth. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in certified payroll and labor compliance, overseeing payroll processing and ensuring strict compliance with labor regulations across multiple projects. This role is essential for maintaining the integrity of payroll operations and ensuring adherence to all relevant labor laws and regulations. As a Certified Payroll & Labor Compliance specialist, you will be responsible for executing payroll every two weeks for a team of over 150 employees, ensuring accuracy and compliance. You will collect, verify, and enter detailed payroll data and project hours, maintaining meticulous records for certified payroll purposes. Additionally, you will oversee Labor Compliance and Certified Payroll records, ensuring adherence to regulations across federal, state, and local jurisdictions. Your role will also involve conducting detailed reviews of payroll records, benefits, and apprenticeship documents to ensure everything is up to code. You will utilize tools such as LCP Tracker and the DIR website to manage compliance-related tasks proficiently. Preparing and managing all necessary Fringe Benefit Statements, DAS forms, and apprenticeship documentation will also be part of your responsibilities. Acting as a communication hub between the controller, project managers, foremen, superintendents, and general contractors, you will address labor compliance needs effectively. Staying current with California payroll laws and labor regulations is crucial to ensure ongoing compliance, avoiding penalties, and reducing risks.
