This role is crucial for the timely and accurate processing of employees' paychecks, ensuring that all payroll-related tasks are handled efficiently. The Certified Payroll Specialist will be responsible for processing payroll for employees, which includes verifying timesheets, calculating overtime, and managing paid leave. Additionally, the role requires maintaining accurate reporting and record-keeping of payroll data, addressing inquiries related to payroll information, and assisting in the setup of payroll tax, benefits, and garnishments. This position offers a competitive pay rate ranging from $28.00 to $34.00 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Process payroll for employees, including verification of timesheets, overtime, and paid leave.
• Ensure accurate reporting and record-keeping of employees' payroll data.
• Handle inquiries related to payroll information.
• Assist in payroll tax, benefits, and garnishment setup for payrolls.

Requirements

• Must be a Certified Payroll Professional (CPP).
• At least 3 years of experience in a payroll department.
• In-depth knowledge of federal and state payroll regulations.
• Proficiency in payroll software and MS Office Suite.
• Strong numerical aptitude and attention to detail.
