About the position

The Certified Pharmacy Technician at King Soopers plays a crucial role in providing exceptional customer service and health and wellness services to patients. This part-time position focuses on ensuring a safe and inclusive environment while adhering to state and federal laws. The technician will assist pharmacists, handle confidential information, and support the company's health initiatives, all while embodying the core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion, and safety.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service to customers and employees.
• Assist pharmacists in all responsibilities except those requiring professional judgment.
• Handle highly confidential information responsibly.
• Support the continued coaching and training of clerks and/or technicians.
• Compound medications according to state regulations.
• Perform post-fill audits to verify prescription information matches computer records.
• Complete all aspects of CLIA-waived screenings as per regulations.
• Comply with sanitation and safety regulations and identify unsafe conditions.
• Provide health and wellness services allowed by state and regulatory bodies.
• Support non-dispensing services through various platforms and applications.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Must be 18 years of age.
• Completion of national registration, certification, or licensure as a pharmacy technician.
• Ability to handle highly confidential information.

Nice-to-haves

• Previous experience as a pharmacy technician or in a similar role.
• Understanding of HIPAA regulations and company policies.
• Current national and/or state registration, certification, or license as required by state.
• Experience in providing health and wellness services.
