About the position
We are hiring Certified Pharmacy Technicians for our Plainfield, Indiana location at Walmart Central Fill Pharmacy. This specialized pharmacy focuses on processing and dispensing prescriptions for multiple retail pharmacy locations, utilizing automation to ensure fast and accurate service. Although not patient-facing, this role supports retail pharmacies in providing clinical services and education to their communities. The position requires a valid Pharmacy Technician license and national certification, with competitive pay and shift differentials based on experience and shift timing.
Responsibilities
- Maintain pharmacy systems and technology, ensuring accurate data and compliance with policies and regulations.
- Monitor inventory levels and expiration dates for pharmaceuticals, ensuring continuous replenishment and stock rotation.
- Support facility reporting and paperwork to ensure productivity and pharmaceutical integrity.
- Assist in the prescription fulfillment process and maintain a safe and clean work environment.
- Ensure fulfillment of pharmacy prescriptions in an automated central fill pharmacy to meet production and quality goals.
- Utilize automated inventory control systems to track and ensure timely delivery and stocking of pharmaceuticals.
Requirements
- Must meet state requirements to work as a Certified Pharmacy Technician, including minimum age and valid Pharmacy Technician license by the State of Indiana.
- Hold an active/valid national certification certificate issued by PTCB (PTCE) or NHA (ExCPT).
