Certified Pharmacy Technician

About the position

The Certified Pharmacy Technician position at PersonalRX involves supporting pharmacists in a mail order pharmacy environment. The role focuses on entering prescriptions, processing prior authorization requests, and managing patient accounts while ensuring compliance with pharmacy regulations. Responsibilities

• Enter prescriptions into the system
• Process Prior Authorization requests and enter required information once a response is received
• Collaborate with QA Analyst and Pharmacists on shipping issues
• Assist Pharmacists with out-of-stock conditions and communicate with patients or doctors as needed
• Work with patients to obtain outstanding account balances
• Complete patient updates such as address or insurance changes
• Proactively check with patients at year-end for new coverage or insurance changes
• Enter test claims for potential patients to determine copays
• Update patient notes as necessary
• Perform all duties under the direct supervision of the pharmacists on duty.

Requirements

• CPhT certification (Required)
• NJ Pharmacy State license (Required)
• 2 years of pharmacy technician experience (Required)
• 1 year of order entry experience (Required)
• Fluency in English and Spanish (Preferred)

Nice-to-haves
