About the position

The Certified Public Accountant (CPA) will serve as the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) for Lifesteps, a non-profit human services organization. This full-time role involves managing the financial resources of the organization, ensuring compliance with accounting principles, and providing strategic fiscal leadership. The CFO will oversee budgeting, audits, and financial reporting while acting as a liaison to the Corporate Board of Directors and funding sources.

Responsibilities

• Manage the financial resources of the organization including accounting, finance, and organization-wide budgets.
• Oversee audits and ensure compliance with generally accepted accounting principles.
• Manage contracts and cash flow/management.
• Conduct forecasting and strategic analysis.
• Implement cost allocations and maintain internal controls.
• Supervise the Controller, Director of Fiscal Management, and respective Accounting Departments.
• Prepare and manage financial statements and applicable tax reporting.

Requirements

• Certified Public Accountant license (CPA).
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Managerial Accounting, Cost Accounting, Business, or a related field.
• 10 years of current experience in financial management.
