We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Certified Public Accountant (CPA) to collaborate with us in delivering exceptional retirement tax planning services to our clients. Job Description: As a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) with a focus on retirement planning, you will play a crucial role in assisting our clients with their financial needs and tax strategies. Your expertise will be instrumental in guiding clients through the complexities of retirement tax planning, including understanding the implications of Medicare and Medicaid, executing Roth conversions, and optimizing their financial strategies for retirement. Jacobs Financial Services would like to create a partnership and steady list of referrals from our new clients, prospect and existing book of business.

Responsibilities

  • Provide expert advice on retirement tax planning, including strategies to minimize tax liabilities and maximize retirement income.
  • Assist clients in understanding the tax implications of various retirement accounts, including IRAs, 401(k)s, and other investment vehicles.
  • Conduct comprehensive analyses of clients' financial situations to develop personalized retirement tax strategies.
  • Advise on the timing and execution of Roth conversions to optimize tax outcomes.
  • Educate clients on the interplay between retirement income, Medicare, and Medicaid, and how to navigate these programs effectively.
  • Collaborate with our financial advisors to integrate tax planning into clients' overall retirement plans.
  • Stay current with changes in tax laws, regulations, and best practices related to retirement planning.
  • Prepare and review tax returns, ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
  • Provide ongoing support and consultation to clients regarding their tax-related questions and concerns.

Requirements

  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation required.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • Experience in tax planning and preparation, with a focus on retirement planning.
  • In-depth knowledge of retirement tax planning, Roth conversions, Medicare, and Medicaid.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Proficiency in tax preparation software and financial planning tools.
