About the position

The Certified Public Accountant (CPA) position at Goodwin Recruiting is designed for professionals passionate about tax planning and wealth management. This role involves enhancing the firm's Tax Planning, Financial Planning, and Wealth Management services while collaborating with other advisors in a supportive environment. The CPA will play a key role in client interactions and internal knowledge sharing, contributing to the overall financial goals of individuals, families, and institutions.

Responsibilities

• Enhance Tax Planning, Financial Planning, and Wealth Management service offerings
• Assist Relationship Managers with client-facing communication
• Conduct detailed tax document reviews
• Lead internal knowledge-building seminars
• Train associates on technology solutions and firm best practices
• Foster collaboration between CPAs, Estate Attorneys, and other professionals
• Engage in company events and client activities to strengthen relationships
• Adhere to company and compliance policies and procedures

Requirements

• 3-5 years of relevant experience, preferably with an Accounting Firm in personal tax preparation
• Leadership experience in managerial or operational roles
• Extensive knowledge in personal and small business tax, charitable gifting, tax-efficient cash flow planning, and wealth transfer solutions
• Proficiency in Financial Planning software platforms and Microsoft Office applications
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written
• Bachelor's Degree (Required)
• Current CPA designation (Required)

Nice-to-haves

• Series 65 or 66 license (Preferred)
• Portable Book of Business (85% buyout)
