About the position

The Certified Public Accountant (CPA) position involves preparing and filing federal and state tax returns, developing tax strategies for clients, and ensuring compliance with tax legislation. The role requires strong analytical skills to identify tax problems and propose solutions, as well as the ability to build and maintain client relationships.

Responsibilities

• Accurately prepare and file federal and state tax returns in a timely manner.
• Develop tax strategies to assist clients in being tax-compliant.
• Identify tax problems and develop solutions.
• Complete responses and schedules in preparation for income tax audits.
• Monitor developments in tax legislation.
• Review tax returns and inform management and staff of developments in tax legislation.
• Build and maintain relationships with clients.

Requirements

• Experience in public accounting is a must.
• Experience in working with CCH Pro System tax is required.
• 5 years of experience with GAAP is required.
• A valid CPA license is required.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in QuickBooks is preferred.
