About the position

We are seeking a CPA or CPA candidate with a specialization in tax to join our multi-office firm located in Fairfield County and Shoreline. This position offers a fast-track opportunity to partnership for the right candidate. The role involves preparing various tax returns and ensuring compliance with tax laws while providing excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

• Prepare federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals, C-corporations, S-corporations, and partnerships using tax software.
• Review previous tax returns and financial documents to identify missing or incomplete information or documentation.
• Understand and apply tax laws and changes in the preparation process.
• Maintain and update the fixed asset list annually in tax software.

Requirements

• Degree in accounting or taxation preferred.
• CPA certification preferred or on CPA Track.
• 2+ years of tax preparation experience.
• Experience using tax preparation software and applications.
• Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to prioritize and manage time efficiently.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent accounting skills.
• Good customer service skills.
