About the position

A large local accounting firm in the Central Valley is currently looking to hire an experienced, highly technical, and motivated Certified Public Accountant (CPA) to join their staff. This position is full-time and offers a competitive annual salary rate between $90,000 - $140,000, along with a generous benefits package including medical, dental, vision, paid time off, sick leave, and a 401(k) plan. The ideal candidate will have the ability to professionally lead tax engagements and/or manage audit engagements, ensuring high-quality service delivery to clients. The CPA will be responsible for preparing tax returns for individual and business clients as necessary, analyzing and balancing financial records, and reviewing them for inaccuracies. Additionally, the CPA will advise business owners and individuals regarding the tax code, oversee accountants and other financial professionals to ensure timely completion of assignments, and make suggestions regarding budgets and other financial decisions as necessary. The role also includes managing financial statement reviews or audits and keeping highly organized and updated client files. Candidates should possess a minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field, along with an active CPA license. A minimum of 5 years of public accounting experience is required, along with proven supervisory and leadership experience. The ideal candidate will also demonstrate professional writing skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and various software, and the ability to multi-task while maintaining attention to detail.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Proficient use of computers, Microsoft Office Suite and various software.
  • Ability to multi-task while maintaining attention to detail.
