About the position

As a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) Contractor at Daxfo Technology Pvt Ltd, you will be responsible for ensuring financial accuracy and compliance. This role involves preparing financial statements, conducting audits, and providing strategic tax planning and consulting services. Responsibilities

  • Prepare and review financial statements, tax returns, and reports, ensuring compliance with GAAP and relevant regulations.
  • Conduct detailed audits of financial documents, expenditures, and investments to ensure accuracy and integrity.
  • Provide comprehensive tax planning and consulting services, including preparation of business and individual tax returns.
  • Assist in budgeting processes and monitor financial performance, providing insights on profit margins and revenue forecasts.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to address financial concerns, develop strategies, and implement best practices.
  • Oversee ledger reconciliation, accounts payable/receivable, and maintain accurate financial records (both digital and physical).
  • Prepare monthly financial packages and conduct financial analysis to identify trends and make informed recommendations.
  • Ensure timely compliance of tax payments and returns.
  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial information and adhere to the highest ethical standards in all activities.
  • Stay updated on industry developments, tax laws, and accounting best practices to provide informed guidance to clients.

Requirements

  • Active CPA license valid for practice in the USA.
  • Minimum of 5-10 years of experience in public accounting or as a CPA, with a focus on tax preparation and financial reporting.
  • Proficient in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, FreshBooks, ProSystem's, Karbon) and advanced MS Excel (including VLOOKUPs and pivot tables).
  • Strong understanding of tax laws and regulations, with experience in governmental accounting standards (GASB) preferred.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills, capable of conveying complex information clearly to non-financial stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively, managing multiple tasks.
  • Experience working with public entities, municipalities, or governmental jurisdictions.
  • Proven ability to develop and maintain client relationships, providing sound financial analysis and advice.
