About the position

Grady CPAs, PC, a growing firm located in Rhinebeck, NY, is currently seeking a self-motivated team player with 2+ years of recent public accounting experience to lead audit, financial statement, and tax engagements for privately held, small to mid-size businesses, business owners, and non-profit organizations. In this role, you will work directly with clients, providing business consulting and strategies for growth. Your responsibilities will include assisting with audit and financial statement engagements for condominiums, homeowner associations, and non-profit organizations, preparing corporate and individual tax returns, completing tax planning and research, and cultivating professional client relationships. As a CPA at Grady CPAs, you will perform attestation engagements including compilations, reviews, and audits in accordance with professional standards. You will lead the preparation of financial statements, footnote disclosures, and management letter comments. Regular communication with clients will be essential to request necessary materials for the completion of engagements. Additionally, you will be responsible for performing accounting and tax research and preparing tax returns. Responsibilities

  • Perform attestation engagements including compilations, reviews, and audits in accordance with professional standards

  • Prepare tax returns

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in accounting or equivalent
  • CPA license or on track to obtain CPA license
  • 2+ years of recent public accounting experience encompassing progressive scope and responsibilities
  • Fundamental knowledge of GAAP
  • Detail and deadline oriented
  • Strong communication, organizational, analytical, problem solving, client service, leadership and PC skills including Microsoft Office and accounting software proficiency
  • Ability to professionally lead accounting engagements, identify and resolve complex accounting issues, juggle multiple priorities, and thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment

Nice-to-haves
