About the position

We are seeking a highly skilled Certified Public Accountant (CPA) to join our team at Reliacare Ltd. As a CPA, you will play a critical role in ensuring the financial health and integrity of our organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, a commitment to ethical practices, and a passion for providing exceptional client service. This position is for our external auditing firm, and interviews will be conducted by a CPA. You will be responsible for preparing and reviewing financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements. Additionally, you must have hands-on experience completing audits, reviews, and compilations. In this role, you will manage and maintain general ledger accounts, ensuring accurate and up-to-date financial records. You will conduct journal entries, bank reconciliations, and payroll processing to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting. Your knowledge of financial concepts, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis, will be essential in preparing and filing tax returns for individuals, partnerships, corporations, and other entities. You will utilize accounting software to manage and analyze financial data, review and approve various financial documents, and maintain compliance with relevant laws and regulations, including tax law and GAAP. Collaboration with other accounting and finance professionals will be key to ensuring seamless financial operations.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and review financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Complete audits, reviews, and compilations.
  • Manage and maintain general ledger accounts, ensuring accurate and up-to-date financial records.
  • Conduct journal entries, bank reconciliations, and payroll processing to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
  • Apply knowledge of financial concepts, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
  • Prepare and file tax returns for individuals, partnerships, corporations, and other entities.
  • Utilize accounting software to manage and analyze financial data.
  • Review and approve various financial documents.
  • Maintain compliance with relevant laws and regulations including tax law & GAAP.
  • Collaborate with other accounting and finance professionals to ensure seamless financial operations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification.
  • Strong understanding of general ledger accounting and financial concepts.
  • Proficiency in accounting software, including QuickBooks and Quicken.
  • Experience with payroll processing and journal entries.
  • Knowledge of tax laws and regulations, including individual and business tax returns.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
  • Commitment to ethical practices and professional standards.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with GAAP (1 year preferred).
  • Additional CPA certification (preferred).
