About the position

A small public accounting firm located in the east end of Louisville is seeking an energetic, professional, and highly motivated Certified Public Accountant (CPA) to join our tax department. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in preparing corporate, trust, and individual tax returns. This role requires the ability to research and resolve complex tax issues effectively. The CPA will have routine client contact and will be expected to take full responsibility for engagements from start to finish, utilizing their experience and judgment to navigate any difficulties that may arise during the course of the engagement. This position is particularly suited for individuals with experience in smaller firms or those looking to transition from larger firms to a more intimate work environment. The firm values a collaborative atmosphere and is looking for someone who can contribute positively to the team dynamic. The employer is also open to considering a 3/4 time position for the right candidate, providing flexibility in work hours outside of the busy tax season. The CPA will be expected to maintain a high level of professionalism and client focus, ensuring that all client needs are met with precision and care. Responsibilities

  • Prepare and file corporate, trust, and individual tax returns.

Requirements
