About the position

The Customer Experience position focuses on engaging customers and patients by providing assistance with products and services, resolving issues, and ensuring a positive experience. The role involves supporting pharmacy operations under the supervision of a pharmacist, adhering to company policies, and maintaining strong relationships with customers. Additionally, it includes responsibilities related to inventory management, clinical services, and training and personal development.

Responsibilities

  • Engage customers and patients by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services.
  • Resolve customer issues and answer questions to ensure a positive customer experience.
  • Model and share customer service best practices with team members.
  • Assist in the practice of pharmacy under the supervision of the pharmacist.
  • Review and comply with the Walgreen Co. Pharmacy Code of Conduct.
  • Utilize pharmacy systems to enter patient and drug information accurately.
  • Fill prescriptions by retrieving, counting, and pouring pharmaceutical drugs.
  • Verify medicine correctness and check for possible interactions.
  • Assist pharmacists in scheduling and maintaining workflow.
  • Report prescription errors to the pharmacist on duty immediately.
  • Register all related sales on assigned cash register and handle cash as required.
  • Assist customers in locating products in the OTC aisle.
  • Handle telephone calls that do not require the pharmacist's personal attention.
  • Process manual claims for third-party program prescription services efficiently.
  • Lead Pharmacy Department inventory management activities.
  • Maintain knowledge of company asset protection techniques.
  • Assist in analyzing and improving pharmacy financial, customer service, and inventory performance data.
  • Assist in administering clinical services and coordinating with healthcare providers.
  • Support execution of the Pickup program.
  • Ensure the Pharmacy Department is stocked, clean, and orderly.
  • Coach pharmacy technicians and cashiers in process efficiency.
  • Complete special assignments and other tasks as assigned.

Requirements

  • PTCB or ExCPT certification (except in Puerto Rico).
  • One year of work experience as a pharmacy technician in a retail or hospital setting.
  • Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico).
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evening and weekend hours.
