About the position
The Certified Surgical Technologist II at Kootenai Health is responsible for preparing and maintaining medical equipment for surgical procedures, ensuring compliance with hospital regulations and industry standards. This full-time position involves direct patient care during pre-operative procedures and requires a commitment to process improvement and attendance.
Responsibilities
- Performs pre-operation preparations to the patient's skin, body and medical equipment
- Assists in transporting patient to and from the operating room
- Actively involved in process improvement
- Performs other related duties as assigned
- Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the field
- Regular and predictable attendance is an essential job function
- Competent to meet age specific needs of the unit assigned
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited surgical technologist program
- Minimum year of experience in an operating room required
- Surgical Technician Certification (CST) required
- Competent in two specialty areas required
- BLS required
