About the position

Intuit is seeking Tax Experts for the upcoming tax season. This position is ideal for individuals with an active PTIN and unrestricted credentials such as CPA, EA, or Practicing Attorney. As a Tax Expert, you will have the opportunity to work 100% remotely, collaborating with an exceptional team from the comfort of your home or office. You will be responsible for helping customers complete their taxes using Intuit TurboTax products, providing tax advice, full service return preparation, tax calculations, and managing product/software inquiries. Your role will be crucial in advancing Intuit's goal of 'Powering Prosperity Around the World.' You will utilize government websites, professional resources, and team expertise to deliver accurate answers to customers in everyday language. This is a virtual, customer-facing role, requiring excellent customer service skills and the ability to interact with customers through video and audio tools in a professional, friendly, and confident manner.

Responsibilities

• Help customers complete their taxes using Intuit TurboTax products.
• Provide tax advice and full service return preparation.
• Perform tax calculations and manage product/software inquiries.
• Utilize government websites and professional resources to deliver accurate answers to customers.
• Document interactions to maintain accurate records.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of paid experience filing 30 or more federal and state individual 1040 tax returns.
• Active, unrestricted credential: EA, CPA, or Practicing Attorney.
• Strong tax preparation experience and extensive knowledge of tax laws.
• Active Preparer Tax Identification Number (PTIN).
• Excellent customer service skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience using commercial tax preparation software.
• Ability to work a minimum of 20 hours per week.
