About the position

Intuit is seeking Tax Experts for the upcoming tax season. This position is ideal for individuals with an active PTIN and unrestricted credentials such as CPA, EA, or Practicing Attorney. As a Tax Expert, you will have the opportunity to work 100% remotely, collaborating with an exceptional team from the comfort of your home or office. Your role will involve helping customers navigate the complexities of taxation, providing tax advice, full-service return preparation, and managing product inquiries using Intuit TurboTax products. You will be expected to utilize government websites, professional resources, and team expertise to deliver accurate answers to customers in a clear and understandable manner. This is a customer-facing role that requires excellent communication skills, as you will interact with clients through video and audio tools in a professional and friendly manner. You will also be responsible for documenting customer interactions to maintain accurate records.

Responsibilities

• Help customers complete their taxes using Intuit TurboTax products.
• Provide tax advice and full-service return preparation.
• Perform tax calculations and manage product/software inquiries.
• Utilize government websites and professional resources to deliver accurate answers to customers.
• Document customer interactions to maintain accurate records.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of paid experience filing 30 or more federal and state individual 1040 tax returns.
• Active, unrestricted credential: EA, CPA, or Practicing Attorney.
• Strong tax preparation experience and extensive knowledge of tax laws.
• Active Preparer Tax Identification Number (PTIN).
• Excellent customer service skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience using commercial tax preparation software.
• Ability to work a minimum of 20 hours per week.
